Community Guidelines

These guidelines describe the culture and conduct we expect from everyone on exclude.gg. They exist alongside our legal policies, not instead of them — think of this as the human side of the rules.

Effective: June 9, 2026·Last updated: June 9, 2026
01

Community Spirit

exclude.gg was built to give people a space to present themselves honestly to the world. Your profile is yours — a space to show who you are, what you care about, and what you’ve built.

The community works when people engage honestly, treat each other with basic respect, and take responsibility for the content they put on the Platform. These guidelines are our best attempt to articulate what that looks like in practice.

These guidelines supplement — and do not replace — our Terms of Service and Content Policy. Where there is a conflict, the Terms and Content Policy govern.

02

Authentic Identity

TL;DR

Be real. Your profile should represent you, not a fabricated persona designed to deceive or impersonate someone else.

exclude.gg is built around genuine identity. We want profiles to reflect real people, real interests, and real accomplishments. This means:

  • Your username and profile should represent who you actually are — or a genuine creative persona you own and operate.
  • Connected accounts should belong to you. Linking accounts you don't own to make yourself appear more popular, verified, or credible is dishonest and prohibited.
  • Credentials and verification badges must be legitimately earned. Displaying symbols of status or verification you haven't earned is prohibited.
  • Collections and showcases should reflect things you genuinely own, have played, or have accomplished — not fabricated lists designed to impress.
  • If you run a parody or satire account, make it obvious. Label it clearly in your username or bio so no one is genuinely confused.
03

Respect

TL;DR

You don’t have to like everyone, but you do have to treat people with basic dignity. Targeted harassment and coordinated abuse have no place here.

Disagreement is fine. Criticism is fine. Satire is fine. What is not fine is sustained, targeted conduct designed to harm a specific person:

  • Do not use your profile to harass, threaten, or target a specific individual — even if you disagree with them, dislike them, or believe they have wronged you.
  • Do not coordinate with others to mass-report, brigade, or pile on a specific user.
  • Do not repost, share, or amplify private information about a person to expose or embarrass them.
  • Do not use collections, showcases, or custom links to target or harass people who are not part of the Platform.

Content that criticizes public figures, platforms, organizations, or ideas is generally permitted when it is clearly expressed as opinion and does not contain false factual claims, threats, or incitement.

04

What Belongs Here

exclude.gg is a profile platform. The following are the kinds of content that make the Platform what it is, and that are clearly in the spirit of what we’re building:

  • Genuine self-representation — who you are, what you play, what you create, what you care about.
  • Creative expression — custom profile aesthetics, unique visual identities, and personal branding.
  • Community connections — showcasing your links to platforms and communities you're part of.
  • Original artwork, photography, or media created by you and used with your own rights.
  • Links to your own content — streams, portfolios, social profiles, projects, and creative work you own.
  • Collections that reflect your genuine interests and accomplishments — games owned, media consumed, achievements earned.
05

What Doesn't Belong Here

The following are inconsistent with the purpose of the Platform and with the kind of community we’re trying to build. Some of these overlap with our Content Policy and Terms — this section is the plain-language version:

  • Profiles built to deceive — fake personas, impersonation accounts, and fabricated identities designed to mislead people about who is behind the profile.
  • Hate-filled profiles — avatars, bios, or showcases built around dehumanizing ideologies, slurs, or content targeting groups based on who they are.
  • Exploit farms — profiles existing solely to link to malware, phishing pages, or fraudulent offers.
  • Spam profiles — accounts built entirely around artificially inflating metrics, link farming, or commercial manipulation.
  • Shock content — profiles designed primarily to disturb, disgust, or traumatize visitors with graphic imagery or content.
  • Creeper behavior — collections or showcases built around surveilling, documenting, or objectifying specific real people without their consent.
  • Copyright graveyards — profiles where all the media is clearly someone else's copyrighted work uploaded without any license or attribution.
06

Reporting & Support

TL;DR

See something wrong? Use the report button on any profile. We take all reports seriously and treat them confidentially.

Every profile on exclude.gg has a report option. Use it if you encounter content or behavior that appears to violate our policies. Here’s what to expect:

  • Reports are confidential. The person you report is never told who filed the report.
  • All reports go to our moderation team, who review them and decide on appropriate action.
  • Urgent reports — involving threats, CSAM, or imminent safety concerns — are prioritized and reviewed within 24 hours.
  • Routine reports are reviewed within a reasonable timeframe. We don't provide case-by-case status updates, but we do act on every legitimate report.
  • Bad-faith reports — those made to harass or mass-flag a user you dislike rather than to flag a genuine policy violation — are themselves a violation of these guidelines.

Can't find the report button?

You can also submit a report directly to security@exclude.gg. Include the profile URL and a brief description of the issue.

07

Consequences

These guidelines are enforced. Violations are handled on a graduated basis unless the violation is severe enough to warrant immediate termination:

Minor

Content removed and/or warning issued

For first-time, lower-severity violations — typically policy misunderstandings or borderline content.

Moderate

Temporary suspension

For repeated violations, escalating behavior, or conduct that causes ongoing harm to other users.

Severe

Permanent ban

For zero-tolerance violations, patterns of severe abuse, or users who continue to violate after prior enforcement action.

We don’t enjoy removing accounts. We want people on the Platform. But we will always prioritize the safety and trust of the community over the continued presence of bad actors.
